Week 4 Update

As week three came to an end, finalized ideas of the game board's dimensions and set up were agreed upon. As Figure 1 shows, there are two tiers to the board, with the top tier the same size as the center of the bottom. The bottom board has slanted sides, which is the track of tiles on which the game is played. The inch below will be used as compartmental storage for the LED system introduced last week.

We began discussing final tiles on the board and agreed to have each side of the board represent an area of the United State of America. There will be the East Coast, West Coast, South, and Midwest. In each area their will be theme locations the player can own that correspond with that spot of the country along with special spaces like the "Slice of Life" cards.

Players will also be able to own special locations outside of the store locations. These include transportation and utilities, which carry a secondary effect to aid the player. For example, if a player owns two transportation sites, if they land on the tile they will be able to move directly to the next transportation site they own. For the utilities, the owner will be able to collect money from the other players in certain circumstances since they own the utility.
